About The Fitness Buddy
Frequently Asked Questions
Okay, you made it this far on The Fitness Buddy website. Now it's time for the big decision. Is it time to try another weight loss/fitness program? What really makes The Fitness Buddy different, anyway? What is different about us compared to the hundreds, if not thousands, or tens of thousands that came before? We continued to ask ourselves the same questions as The Fitness Buddy was being created.
- Is The Fitness Buddy like all the rest, making outlandish claims that will get me nowhere fast?
- Company Rule #1 – The Fitness Buddy will not make any claims that we cannot back up with FACTS!
- We are as tired as you are with all the miracle claims that don't produce long-term results.
- Unlike most, we state that we need one thing to happen to make this work, that one thing is YOU. This will take work! This is not the latest miracle breakthrough program; there is no cutting corners. When YOU choose to say enough is enough, The Fitness Buddy is there to help YOU "Unlock Your Potential".
- We are not a magical pill, exercise machine or some supposedly "simple 3-minute workout" that will erase all those years of extra pounds. If you are looking for those types of solutions, The Fitness Buddy is not for you. Why would you look to go down that route again, when you know the result?
- Plain and simple. This will take time and work on your part. Make this happen by doing the exercises in The Fitness Buddy, doing some type of cardio and eating smarter. The rewards of doing it the correct way will far outweigh all those miracle claims some other fitness companies make.
- The Fitness Buddy is no different than the rest, screaming at the top of their lungs that they have THE breakthrough product. Then they show very little confidence in the product by saying if you order now they will slash the price of the miracle product in half or give you something for free.
- Company Rule #2 – The Fitness Buddy will have NO SMALL PRINT (like results not typical). We tell you everything up front.
- Sorry…no discounts here, just a fair price for a program with proven results, if you are finally willing to "Unlock Your Potential". These results are totally up to YOU! We are always there to give the support when needed; The Fitness Buddy is your own Personal Trainer.
- There are no special offers if you order now or in the next ten minutes. The Fitness Buddy is a fair product for a fair price.
- In this economy I can’t afford a Personal Trainer.
- Company Rule #3 – Personal Trainers are great. In fact, we at The Fitness Buddy actually prefer you go this route, if you can. Having a qualified/certified person there to assist you can be the life changing moment you are searching for.
- That being said, the average price of a Personal Trainer hovers around $50 to $65 an hour and that can put a strain on anyone's budget.
- You may have to organize your time around the Personal Trainer's schedule, not yours.
- Do your personalities mesh?
- The Fitness Buddy is a 16-week program broken down this way:
- A 6-week Beginner Level. We talk about building a foundation quite a bit through out The Fitness Buddy philosophy and this is where it all starts. At this level you are walked through each exercise once, focusing on form, discovering what comfort level you are starting at.
- A 6-week Intermediate Level. Now that you have gone through each exercise at least once, this is where you start to push yourself a little harder. Keeping the focus on form – it is not always about the weight or reps you are doing.
- A 4-week Advanced Level. This is where you should see your work pay off. Keep focusing on form. You should be able to see some changes in the mirror at this point.
- Each level is broken down by muscle group, color-coded and tabbed making it easy to find the exercise.
- There is a weekly schedule you should shoot for, but no worries if life gets in the way. Work at your own comfortable pace; just remember to push yourself out of your comfort level a little bit. You will amaze yourself how much you can do if you push yourself a little.
- Read and understand the instructions at each level.
- At each level we mention that it is not all about weights, you must add in cardio and take a day off or two.
- Cardio could be anything that requires you to move. At the gym, use a treadmill, elliptical, stair stepping machine, a rower, or use the track, a pool and so on. The other idea is get outside, run, jog, walk, hike, bike, and skip if you feel like it.
- Rest is also important. This gives your body time to heal. (When you lift weights you actually damage your muscles. Once they repair they are stronger and leaner.) Rest is also important for a mental break.
- The Fitness Buddy is actually a book designed to work with you during your workouts. This idea is lost on most "fitness books." Bring us to your workout. At the gym, at your house, while you are traveling, The Fitness Buddy is durable we can take it.
- After you complete the 16-week program it does not end there. With our convenient and durable binder format, it is easy to take out the exercise cards, mix them up and make your own custom program at no additional charge.
- Can’t I print these exercises or similar exercises off the Internet?
- Company Rule #4 – We don't have to reinvent the wheel, just how helpful that wheel is.
- True, these exercises plus hundreds more are found on the Internet, in fact by the time you read this a few more may have appeared.
- Most exercises are just offshoots of other exercises. In fact, the more that come out the further you get from building the foundation we talk about so much.
- "Keeping to the basics" is how a foundation is built. KISS (Keep it simple stupid!)
- Another thought: are these exercises part of a total fitness/health program? Probably not.
- Paper durability:
- Ask yourself how durable is that paper you are using? You should be sweating during a workout.
- Have you ever spilled anything while working out? Now that piece of paper is a paper towel.
- After you use the sheet when the workout is done, where does it go? We are thinking the gym bag.
- The Fitness Buddy durability
- Made of a heavier, more durable paper stock
- Protection from the hard-cover binder (especially in that gym bag).
- The Fitness Buddy is designed with people that have two hands at the gym.
- One hand carries a water bottle.
- The other hand has to carry everything else, The Fitness Buddy holds –
- A 16-week workout program.
- A 30-day workout log.
- A plastic pouch to carry a few essentials like a pen, cell phone, keys, ear buds, or an MP3/iPod.
- A card slot for gym card, drivers license and a few emergency dollars.
- Can't I download numerous apps that have workout programs with my Smart phone?
- Company Rule #5 – Sometimes low tech is better.
- True, The Fitness Buddy costs $29.99 plus $6.99 for shipping and handling. How much was your phone?
- The Fitness Buddy contains your workout program. Your phone has your workout program, plus phone numbers, photos, music, addresses, dates, credit card information and so on.
- Which would you rather lose?
- Which would you rather have stolen?
- Which would you rather drop a 20 lb. dumbbell on?
- Which would you rather spill water on?
- Which would you rather drop off a treadmill?
- We hope that nothing ever happens to your cell phone or The Fitness Buddy, but if something does happen, all you are out is $29.99 plus $6.99 for shipping and handling.
- One more thing: The Fitness Buddy never needs charging.
- The Fitness Buddy will go the way of the rest of the fads, diets, or fitness crazes I have tried.
- Company Rule #6 – We despise fads, diets, and fitness crazes.
- If you believe The Fitness Buddy is just a fad, diet, or craze we have truly failed you.
- We are about building a foundation and helping you move towards a fitter and healthier lifestyle.
- We are human; we often look to cut corners on certain things in life, but for a successful fitness and healthy lifestyle you cannot cut corners.
- If fads, diets and fitness crazes really worked, why as a nation are we faced with an epidemic of being overweight and obese?
- Some fads, diets and crazes may work short term. So they receive a lot of press and they work for a little while. Then it dies down and another one takes its place. When is enough, enough? History is littered with the newest and latest fad, diet or craze and it will continue. The goal of The Fitness Buddy is to put a stop to this, one person at a time.
- If we made a fad, diet or craze here it is in black and white. This is totally up to YOU. YOU will have to work at it and it will take some time. It doesn't sound as flashy as getting six pack abs in six weeks while watching TV, but then again, we don't have any fine print.
- Okay this sounds too good to be true...what am I missing?
- Company Rule #7 – We can only help those who truly want, need and desire to change. We cannot and should not force ourselves onto anyone who does meet these values.
- What is missing:
- A real intent from you saying enough is enough.
- A foundation, so your house won't crumble down around you.
- A lifestyle commitment.
- The true desire to change your fitness and health.
