The Fitness Buddy started by chance. While going through the process of becoming fitter & healthier, receiving two Personal Trainer fitness certifications and maintaining a healthly weight, I noticed there are basically two types of people that come to the gym. There is the Personal Trainer people and the people who go it alone.
Personal Trainers
The Fitness Buddy highly suggests the Personal Trainer idea. But finding that one special Personal Trainer who is going to help reinvent you is no easy task. Personal Trainers can also run an average $50 to $65 an hour and remember you usually sign up for 8 to 12 sessions. Once you are done with them you are on your own. In most cases you might have gained some important foundation principles but without constant support the odds are good you will fall back into the old routines, unless you sign up for more sessions.
Go it alone
The majority of people fall into the going it alone category; and in fact, I too was this person. The problem lies in where you get your information? Friends? Family? Co-Workers? Books? Magazines? Internet? Being fortunate, I broke through all that clutter and discovered what I needed to know to help move my goals forward. The majority of us muddle through it. We see someone doing a Biceps Curl and think - if he or she is doing it I might as well. You see the newest, coolest cardio machine ever built with all the bells and whistles and you think - finally a piece of equipment that will push me over the edge and I will lose those pounds. In a sense we become a lab rat, the gym becomes less enjoyable over time and we give up.
What is missing?
Question: What would happen if you built a house without a solid foundation? Answer: The house would soon fall down.
Question: What would happen if you started a new business without a solid business plan? Answer: Your business would never have a chance to begin with and would fail.
The issue with fitness, living healthier, or losing weight is we all jump into it without a plan, without a foundation. We listen to commercials, watch TV programs, read magazines, search the internet. We see countless advertisements all touting that they have the newest and greatest thing to help you lose those unwanted pounds. The Fitness Buddy helps break it down, gives you structure, builds that foundation that we are all missing. The pictures for each exercise are clear, the explanations for doing each exercise are easy to read and the additional information provides you with the extra boost in making this new LIFESTYLE worth it.
