An awesome feature to this book is the make the same food in home and compare it to the restaurants version. Plus they compare the costs.

Book Recipe
- 4 thick slices Canadian bacon or deli ham
- 4 eggs
- 4 frozen whole-grain waffles
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 4 tbsp shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- salt and black pepper to taste
- Heat a nonstick skillet or saute pan over medium heat
- Coat with a bit of olive oil cooking spray and cook the Canadian bacon for a few minutes on each side, until well browned.
- Remove
- Coat the same pan with a bit more spray and cook the eggs, sunny side up until the whites have set but the yolks are still runny
- Toast the waffles
- Drizzle the maple syrup on toast
- Sprinkle the cheese
- Add salt and pepper to taste

Wow this is great information. I always knew that Denny’s was not good for you, and try to avoid it but I also didn’t realize you could have a waffle with ham and egg for 270 calories.
