Road to the Ironman – #21 today is a little different
I am coming to you from my trainer today. So if my typing is a bit off please understand. So before I start you might be asking what is a trainer? Well a trainer is a product that is used in biking when the weather is too cold (like it is here in Chicago.) or maybe if it is to late to ride like tonight. You prop up the rear wheel on the bike on the trainer, lock it in and start to peddle. If you ever wonder what it feels like to be a hamster here is you chance. But I have to get my miles in. So far the pace is slower because I am using the handle bars on my bike to hold the laptop, but it is not about the miles it is about the time. So far I am at 1:08:20 and the distance is 18.2 miles. I am shooting for 1 1/2 hours. This trainer thing gets a bit boring. I listen to music, watch TV, listen to the radio, but now with the Internet time is going by a little faster. It is a good time to get caught up on work items, browse facebook and watch some you tube. The typing is slow, one handed but it is working, I wish the laptop could be bit higher so the typing would be easier and I could use a mouse. Oh well I will make do.
Finished, the laptop helped pass the time. 1:30, 25 miles on the bike.
