Road to the Ironman – I had a Ironman moment yesterday
This is really a follow up to my Ironman post the other day about Jon Blais. There are times when I am writing these blogs and wonder if anyone is out reading these things? Am I rambling? Is there any importance to my thoughts and words? Well I found out yesterday maybe just maybe there is some relevance to what I am doing. I woke up in the morning to check to see if I had any response to the numerous blogs I have written over the last couple months and there was one!!!! Sorry I got a little excited. The response was from Jon’s mother, Mary Ann. What an honor! It shows to me how tight this Ironman community really is. Jon continues to be an inspiration not only to me, but hundreds (probably thousands) reaching for their dreams. Whether it is Jon Blais, Rick and Dick Hoyt or the numerous others that continue to inspire, I am glad in some small way I will be a part of this community!
So what does it mean to be an Ironman? I got a new one… Riding your bike on the trainer at 1 am in the morning for an hour… Now I can say been there did that.
